(Cover)Girl is on Fire!

Um…how excited are we? With the explosion of movie inspired makeup collections on the market…this is one we can definitely get excited about.

CoverGirl will be releasing a Hunger Games inspired makeup collection due out this Fall. CoverGirl products were used by the film’s makeup department during the production which hopefully will give us an inexpensive opportunity to recreate those seriously over-the-top Hunger Games looks. PLUS we heart Jennifer Lawrence. I mean really, who doesn’t? This is perfect timing because we’ve been awkward awaiting a time to bring up our girl crush on her. She can flawlessly fall at award shows – engage in witty banter w/ Jack Nicholson – embarrass her costars – all while making all of us wish she was our BFF.

CoverGirl is still keeping a lot of the details hush hush, but hopefully we will know more soon!

Shannon used Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner with #266 brush by MACRed Cherry #747s Lashes which Shannon says “are identical to #4 lashes by MAC” but at just $2.50 are a fraction of the price of MAC’s! For the eyes she applied MAC’s Yogurt eyeshadow on the inner corner with Pink Swoon blush on the outer corner of the eyes and on her cheeks. She also used Benefit’s Hoola bronzer to define her cheek bones. For her pink pop on her pout, Shannon lined her lips with MAC’s Magenta Lip Pencil and filled it in with Anime Lip Tar by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics. See more photos here.

Shannon used Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner with Smashbox’s eyeshadow trio in Filter and applied MAC lashes in style #3. She defined and filled in the brows with MAC’s Lingering eyebrow pencil for a more retro feel. For the cheeks, Shannon used a combo of MAC’s blush in Breezy and Benefit’s Hoola bronzer. For the dark, vintage lip she used MAC lip liner in Currant with Wet & Wild lipstick in Cherry Bomb. We love the combo of department store + drugstore makeup to achieve this look!

The Great Gatsby premiered this weekend at theaters across the country. The lavish costumes, makeup, hair, and elaborate sets made for an intensely visual film – not to mention the amazing soundtrack that we’ve been listening to on repeat here at the PRIMP offices. To celebrate, we found our favorite Gatsby inspired, roaring 20′s nail art to share with our Primpers.

Think you can recreate these?
